Where it all began

At the age of 24 I had my first baby to my partner of 5 years. From the moment my little boy was put in my arms little did I know how much my life would change. I was a trained and qualified Early Childhood Teacher with ambitions to become a Head Teacher and one day to either Manage or own my own centre. My goals and dreams went left field once Mr Cohan Tullett entered my world.
As we had purchased a home together I had to return to work when Cohan was just 3 months old. I plunged myself straight back into work and tried my best to find the balance of work life and being a new Mum. Even after transferring to a centre closer to our home and cutting down to a 4 day work week, my passion to be a teacher had truly diminished.

Leading up to Cohan's first birthday I began the party planning and made lots of customised party décor using my knowledge in art and design that I learnt from high school. I created the invitations, signage, labels and tags. I had so much fun organising his party and taking photos. When the New Year approached and after lots of discussions with my partner I decided to start a Facebook and create beautiful printables for other people.
Half way through this new year we found out we were having another baby. With this news came a lot of self reflection and talks with my partner about how I felt about working, starting a new business venture and being a Mum. I discovered that my calling was no longer to care and teach other children, but to spend more time with my own. Being a Mummy to my babies was my calling at this point in my life.

From here I resigned from my job to follow my new dreams of owning my own business, working for myself and looking after my boys. So here I am a few years on still working on my small business at home with now 3 boys to keep me busy. If you are contemplating starting you own business or being a stay at home mum follow your instincts as it can really take you places.
If you follow your dreams and spend your life doing what bring you joy, you are more likely to find success.
